William A. McMahon, 61, of West Liberty died Monday, March 10, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with visitation one hour prior to the celebration of life. William Arthur McMahon was born July 24, 1952, the son of Arthur P. and Florence Mae Terrill McMahon. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School in the class of 1970. On March 4, 1972, he was united in marriage to Susan Olsen at the Christian Church in West Liberty.
Bill had been employed with Wiele Chevrolet in West Liberty for many years. He was a song writer, musician, artist and philosopher.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, of West Liberty; son Chris McMahon and wife Angela Polowy of West Liberty; granddaughter Rhianna McMahon; one sister, Patsy (Raymond) Miller of Muscatine; and two brothers, Tim (Heidi) McMahon of West Liberty and Tom (Jeanette) McMahon of West Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
