Cops will pick up drugs, too
News · April 24, 2014

On Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the West Branch Police Department, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring medications for disposal to West Branch City Hall at 110 N. Poplar St. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

The WBPD will also, for the first time, pick up medicine from elderly or disabled citizens who live inside the city yet are unable to make the drop off. Officers make this run from 2 to 4 p.m. that same day.

Call the WBPD at 319-643-2222 for more information or to schedule a pickup. Anyone from surrounding areas are invited to use the drop-off site.
