Betty J. Gaunt, 73, of West Liberty died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.
Funeral services were Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with visitation before the service. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Betty was born June 6, 1941, in Iowa City, the daughter of Roy and Georgia McKillip Yeggy. She was united in marriage to Harry F. Gaunt. Betty enjoyed taking trips to the boat, playing cards and BINGO.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Robert) Slutts of Muscatine, Iowa; son Bob Gaunt of Muscatine; and daughter Debbie (Riley) Lilly of Pollock, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother Roy Yeggy of Atalissa; sisters: Mary Sprague of Muscatine, Elizabeth Hollenbeck of Muscatine and Sherry Goodrich of Independence, Iowa; sister-in-law Joan Yeggy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Harry, brother Dick, sister Patty, infant brother Bobby and companion Sherwood Terry.
