Michael K. Streets, 51, of Iowa City died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation was Saturday before the service. Burial was at the West Branch Cemetery. Michael was born June 5, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Larry and Karen Oyler Streets. He lived at home until age 19, and then moved to Systems Unlimited in Iowa City. He attended Nelson Development Centers and the Systems Unlimited Learning Center. He later spent much of his time at Employment Systems.
Michael was a people-oriented person. He enjoyed being with friends and family during holidays and other gatherings. He also enjoyed country music, tractors and other large farm machinery, and watching football at home.
He is survived by his father Larry (Jeannie) Streets of West Branch; sisters: Kathy (Mark) Worrell of West Branch and Kim (Mark) Ford of Charlotte, N.C.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Streets; grandparents: Clarence and Ruby Streets; and Jasper and Eleanor Oyler.
