Rochester bridge repairs

Cedar County Secondary Road Department announced Tuesday that 290th Street from Rochester to West Rochester — the bridge over the Cedar River — will close on and off starting 8 a.m. Aug. 26.
Repairs to the bridge will close it to traffic during the hours it is under repair, then the bridge will reopen at the end of each work day.
The project is expected to take up to three days.
