Movie in the park

The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site will show the movie Yogi Bear in the Village Green 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, as the National Park Service marks its 98th birthday.

Children can build their very own "nest" from where they can watch the movie and the park service will present awards based on creative design. The Boy Scouts will also hand out free popcorn.

"We are hoping people will come and enjoy an open-air movie," Park Superintendent Pete Swisher said, "all the while spending time in one of their national parks."
