Heick earns scholarship

Matthew Heick of West Branch has been selected for a 2014 University of the Aftermarket Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
Heick plans to attend Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids to pursue an associates degree in automotive technology.
"Matthew was selected from more than 600 applicants at a recent meeting of the selection committee," Committee Chairman Peter Kornafel said. It is a privilege to support this program training people for careers in the automotive aftermarket."
