Speaking Volumes: McCann returns with Prohibition book
by Nick Shimmin, WB Public Library · Op-Ed · October 09, 2014

The West Branch Public Library is proud to announce the return visit of Linda McCann who visited the library in 2013 to talk about her book, “Lost: Cedar County.”

Linda’s new book has just been released in the summer and is called “Prohibition in Eastern Iowa.”

Linda is a very thorough researcher of this area in Iowa and we are thrilled to have her back. She will have copies available for purchase and will be more than happy to sign your copy. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Please also note that the library will be closed on October 17th for a staff in-service. The library will reopen with its regular schedule on the 18th. As always, no items will be due on the 17th nor will fines be charged for that day.
