Letter: Loebsack keeps in contact with voters

Most politicians go to Washington DC and get to like it there, sometimes a little too much. We never see them in Iowa except when an election is coming up.
That’s what I appreciate most about my congressman, Dave Loebsack. Even though there are 24 counties in his district, I’ve seen Dave here many, many times during the past few years. He seems to return to the district nearly every weekend.
It is good to have someone in Washington who genuinely enjoys meeting and talking with people, even those who disagree with him. Dave is always willing to listen and give a straight answer.
Americans would have a higher opinion of Congress if more of its members were as down to earth and hard-working as Dave Loebsack.
