Jeanette M. (VanTieghem) Flores, 85, of West Branch passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Visitation was Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 14, at Bethany Lutheran Church in West Branch. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Moline, Illinois. A memorial fund has been established. Jeanette Mary Flores was born on Oct. 27, 1929, to Frank and Elsie (VanLandagem) VanTieghem in Moline, Illinois. She worked as a material expeditor at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years. Jeanette enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Paula (Curt) Casper of West Branch, Joseph (Barb) Kimpe of Bettendorf, Victoria Kimpe of Iowa City, and Robert Kimpe of Moline, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two expected great grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard VanTieghem.
