Barry M. Hahn, 68, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at his home in Iowa City.
A memorial graveside service, with military honors, was held Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Klein Cemetery in rural Moscow, Iowa. Barry was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Mallard, Iowa, the son of Roland and Delores Kraska Hahn. He graduated from Iowa City High in 1965. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970. He was united in marriage to Ella Brown on June 16, 1967, in Sterling, Ill. Barry was employed as an optician in the Iowa City area for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Hahn of Iowa City; mother Delores Hahn of Iowa City; daughter Kelly (Dave) Machholz of Iowa City and granddaughter Mikaela; son Bradd (Rebecca) Hahn of Muscatine and grandsons Beau and Brock and daughter Dana Hahn of Iowa City; and two brothers: Rick Hahn of Iowa City and Doug Hahn of New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Hahn.
