News · July 02, 2015

Restorative Aide Rosene Worrell of Crestview Nursing and Rehab Center in West Branch received the National Association of Health Care Assistants’ (NAHCA) Restorative Care Professional Award on June 11 at NAHCA’s national annual conference held in Des Moines.

Nominated by Resident Council President Sarah Parker, Worrell was selected from a pool of 250 candidates.

“Rosene is the leader of a tremendously successful restorative program that has, literally, given people their lives back,” Parker said. “She is always here, leading in an organized and calm manner, helping others to succeed. CNAs look to her for guidance, nurses rely on her for accurate feedback, and administration can always count on her to be readily available and proactive. What more could we ask for?”

The Restorative Care Professional Award is given to a CNA or direct caregivers who display knowledge and competence in restorative care and possess the skills to promote the highest practicable level of functioning.

These caregivers have had significant impact in restoring functional levels for residents who have been able to live independently as a result of this care.
