Speaking Volumes: NEIBORS is now called Bridges, and book selection is statewide
by Nick Shimmin, WB Public Library · Op-Ed · July 23, 2015

There was big news last week in that the West Branch Public Library’s ebook service, NEIBORS, is now a service known as Bridges.

Bridges looks only slightly different as it uses the same company as NEIBORS. All of your old information – login details, holds, waiting lists, and checkouts – was transferred directly to the new site.

The difference, and benefit to everyone who uses Bridges is that it now covers the full state of Iowa rather than just the northeast as NEIBORS did.

This means a larger budget, a wider variety of books, and more digital copies of the books you want to read.

We hope that you find that the change is an improvement and betters your ebook experience.

The old site automatically transfers you to the new, but if you want to go directly there, you can find bridges at bridges.lib.overdrive.com.

Now, a few recent additions to our collection:

New Books (Adults): “Armada” by Ernest Cline; “Nemesis” by Catherine Coulter; “Summer Secrets” by Jane Green; “Dead Ice” by Laurell K Hamilton; “Go Set a Watchman” by Harper Lee

New Books (Teens and Kids): “The Incredible Hulk: an Origin Story” by Richard Thomas; “Squid Kid the Magnificent” by Lynne Berry; “The Fugitive” by John Grisham; “Kissing in America” by Margo Rabb; “My Heart and Other Black Holes” by Jasmine Warga.

New Movies on DVD: Ex Machina; Paul Blart, Mall Cop 2; McFarland, USA
