Buddy Bench coming Oct. 17.

Summer Saylor, as part of a 4-H Community Service Project, raised money to donate a Buddy Bench to Hoover Elementary, which will be delivered to the school 9 a.m. Oct. 17.
The idea behind a Buddy Bench is that children wanting someone with which to play at recess can sit on the bench, allowing classmates the opportunity to invite them over.
Summer’s mother, Kelly Walsh, said the West Branch Lions Club donated $170 toward the project and other donations came through a GoFundMe page and a bucket at Main Street Sweets.
