Nora “Bea” Fulwider, 79, of Tipton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at Cedar Manor on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016.

Visitation was Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Tipton. Funeral Services were also held at First United Methodist Church on Friday. A memorial fund in Nora’s honor has been established. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Nora “Bea” Fulwider was born in Malcolm, Iowa, on June 19, 1936, the daughter of Louise Wolfe and Laverner Griffin. Bea grew up in West Branch, Iowa. She married James Fulwider on July 22, 1955, in Chicago, Ill. Together they raised three children: June, Karen, and David.

In addition to being a homemaker, Bea worked at several businesses in the area, including High Tierra restaurant, telephone companies in Tipton and West Branch, Crestview and Cedar Manor nursing homes, and the dentist offices of Drs. Pfiefle and Smith in Tipton. Bea enjoyed entertaining, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her later years, Bea was reunited with her birth siblings and appreciated their many memorable visits.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-father Bill Wolfe; sister Anita Eliason; and brother Larry Wolfe.

She is survived by her children: June (Dale) Seligman of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Karen (Scott) Anderson of Tipton, and David (Lisa) Fulwider of Tipton; brothers Mike and Rob Wolfe and John Griffin; sisters Jo Lawrence, Darlene Benson, Ruth Jordan and Marla Gregory; five grandchildren: Heidi (Cary) Murphy, Eric Seligman, Alisha (Josh) Hubler, Alex (Bailey) Anderson and Katelyn (Devon Yutesler); and six great-grandchildren.
