Born Nov. 26, 1929, to Len and Margaret “Peg” (Quinn) Cruse in Pontiac, Ill., she was their only child. After graduating from Pontiac High School, she attended Rosary College (Dominican University) where she graduated with a bachelor degree in economics. The couple adopted three children: Quinn of Chicago, Ill., Tim (deceased) and Mary (Curt) Heath of Iowa City; and they had two grandchildren, Tim and Mikayla Heath (fiancé, Michael Splavec) of Iowa City.

Her life was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and dogs. Family became her profession and it was the joy of her life.

She will be long remembered for her love and skill at the game of golf. West Liberty Country Club was her second home.

Her family and friends will long be wrapped in and warmed with the many quilts she made throughout her life. They were made with love.
