Absentee ballots available now

Absentee ballots are now available for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, June 7.


Voting in office began Thursday, April 28. The Cedar County Auditor’s Office will mail a ballot to any registered voter in Cedar County who requests one by mail. Request forms are available from the Cedar County Auditor’s Office or at www.cedarcounty.org.

Send forms to Cedar County Auditor’s Office, 400 Cedar Street, Tipton, IA 52772, and include the voter’s name, date of birth, signature, the address at which the voter is registered to vote, the name and date of the election (Primary Election – June 7, 2016), and the address to which the ballot should be sent if different from the registration address.

Ballots delivered by mail must be postmarked no later than midnight, June 6. Hand delivered ballots must reach the Auditor’s Office by 9 p.m. Election Day, June 7. Voters may also vote by absentee ballot in the Auditor’s Office through June 6.
