Henrietta “Henri” Furchtenicht, 60, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.

A memorial visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A celebration of life and continued sharing was held at Craig and Henri’s home following the time at the funeral home. Henrietta was born Oct. 9, 1955, at Jellico, Tenn., the daughter of Boyd Clyde and Nellie (Bowlin) McCullah.

On Sept. 1, 2007, she was united in marriage to Craig Furchtenicht at their home. Henri was employed with Oral B in Iowa City for 25 years, she enjoyed the outdoors, sitting on her porch and being around people.

Survivors include husband Craig Furchtenicht of West Branch; son Anthony (Sandra) Hill of Onieda, Tenn.; mother Nellie McCullah of Williamsburg, Ky.; brother R.L. (Jewelene) McCullah of Williamsburg, Ky.; sisters Ella “Betsy” Couture of Sylvania, Ohio, Goldie Blakley of Williamsburg, Ky., Birdie McCullah of Williamsburg, Ky., Joyce (Gilbert) Huddleston of Williamsburg, Ky., Evelyn (Phil) McCullah-Brennenstuhl of Williamsburg, Ky., and Gail (David) Buck of Williamsburg, Ky.; special niece Pat Rose (Jim) Thompson of Toledo, Ohio,; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, sisters Rose Edith Paul, Carol Thrasher and brother Jack McCullah.
