Letter: Clinton vote promises more rights, security Op-Ed · October 27, 2016
The choice is very clear in this election. Either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will be our next president, so it really is up to us, the voters, to determine our future, the future of our children and our country. We’ve all had plenty of opportunity to judge for ourselves which individual we can imagine leading our great nation forward and which party’s policies will provide the opportunity for every one of our citizens to share in the “American Dream."
As for me, I will be voting for the candidate and party which has always valued public education, has fought for a better life for children, has supported women’s rights and equal pay for women, has stood with the LGBTQ community and for same-sex marriage, has marched with working men and women in their struggle for better pay and workplace safety, has protected the rights of women in reproductive decisions and care, has defended Social Security, has promoted clean energy to save our planets future.
I will be voting for a secure and just future for our children and for every one of our citizens in this, the greatest nation on earth. For all this and more I will be voting for Democrats and for Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America.
