D. Michael Phillips, 62, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 in Muscatine.

Dennis Michael Phillips was born March 3, 1954, in Muscatine, the son of James E. and Alice (Pogue) Phillips. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School in the class of 1973. He had worked for Modern Wall in Iowa City.
Survivors include eight children: Amy (Chris) Skidmore of Muscatine, Shawn (Erin) Phillips of Muscatine, Mike (Amber) Phillips of Tipton, Kristina (Kyle) Johnston of Tipton, Megan (Jason) Lilienthal of Tipton, Melissa Roser of West Liberty, Makala Roser of West Liberty and Jesse Roser of West Liberty; a special friend: Karla Mills of West Liberty; four brothers: Ken (Diane) Phillips of Springdale, Wayne (Connie) Phillips of Prairie Grove, Ark., Roger Phillips of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Ronnie (Sandy) Phillips of Wapello; one sister, Deb (Jim) Lovetinsky of West Liberty; and five grandchildren: Savannah Skidmore, Ally Skidmore, Alivia Phillips, and Mason and Morgan Lilienthal.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia.
