Kelley arraignment Dec. 9

A Cedar County judge scheduled a 9 a.m. Dec. 9 arraignment for Michael Thomas Kelley.
Kelley, who just turned 40, will appear in court with his attorney, Joel Andrew Walker, where he will be asked to answer charges of willful injury — causing serious injury, a Class C felony, and domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to West Branch Police, Kelley was arrested after finding a 35-year-old woman severely beaten at his home in the 600 block of West Orange Street.
He faces up to 10 years in prison on the Class C felony and up to two years on the aggravated misdemeanor. Bond stands at $100,000.
