Letter: Inconvenient? That’s part of a point of protest
Op-Ed · December 01, 2016

An unhealthy focus on law and order, as a tool for containing unrest.
This was the story of our nation’s beginning. This is why we value the right to assemble, why we call for due process in our legal system.

An unhealthy focus on law and order, without a greater concept of justice, is at the heart of Christ’s interactions with the other religious leaders of his day.

A protest that doesn’t “inconvenience,” is essentially a protest that didn’t happen.

Rep Kaufmann’s annoyance is likely due more to the Left’s not laying down and playing dead after the election, therefore spoiling his happy dance for the trifecta, than to any educational opportunities for discussing dissent.
