Terry Clarence Kruse, 67, of West Liberty passed away suddenly Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Muscatine. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome. A memorial fund has been established.
Terry was born Aug. 7, 1949, in Iowa City, the son of Clarence John and Erdine L. (Atkins) Kruse. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School in the Class of 1968. Terry had served six years in the Army Reserves. On July 27, 1974, he was united in marriage to Christine Marshall in West Liberty. He had been employed with Louis Rich and West Liberty Foods in the maintenance department, retiring in June 2016.
Survivors include his wife Christine of West Liberty; two sons: Justin Kruse of Tipton and Daniel Kruse of West Liberty; three grandchildren: Caleb, Kelsi and Madison; sister Carol Jean (Duane) Rossman of Otho, Iowa; and brothers Russell Kruse of Des Moines and Jerry Kruse of West Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenneth.
