7th boys go 4-2

The West Branch Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team won four and lost two games in recent contests.


On Feb. 2 against Durant, the A team won 48-27.

Scoring: Brady Knoop 4, Cash Woody 16, Thomas Gould 26, Dylan Countryman 2.

The team shot 2 for 5 from the free-throw line, had 21 rebounds, 8 assists, 14 steals, 3 blocked shots and 9 turnovers.

In the B game, the boys won 12-10.

Scoring: Dylan Olson 2, Zander Harnett 2, Seth Franzoni 6, Chase Shipley 2.

The team had 14 rebounds, 3 steals, 5 blocked shots and 10 turnovers.

On Feb. 9, the A team beat Tipton 48-14.

Scoring: Peyton Miller 6, Brady Knoop 10, Cash Woody 10, Thomas Gould 20, Dylan Countryman 2.

The team shot 2 for 4 from the free-throw line, had 24 rebounds, 11 assists, 7 steals, 3 blocked shots and 6 turnovers.

In the B game, the boys lost 22-18.

Scoring: Gavin Hills 2, Lucas Pierce 4, Sam Torkelson 1, Seth Franzoni 8, Dylan Countryman 3.

The team shot 2 for 4 from the free-throw line, had 23 rebounds, 3 assists, 12 steals, 2 blocked shots and 12 turnovers.

On Feb. 7 against Mid-Prairie, the A team won 36-22.

Scoring: Peyton Miller 8, Gavin Hills 1, Brady Knoop 8, Cash Woody 4, Thomas Gould 15.

The team shot 6 for 8 from the free-throw line, had 20 rebounds, 8 assists, 11 steals, 8 blocked shots and 7 turnovers.

In the B game, the Bears lost 42-13 to the Golden Hawks of Mid-Prairie.

Scoring: Zander Harnett 2, Lucas Pierce 2, Seth Franzoni 7, Dylan Countryman 2.

The team shot 1 for 2 from the free-throw line, had 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, a blocked shot and 22 turnovers.
