Two place at spelling bee

West Branch Middle School pupils Isaiah Franzoni and Nina Torkelson placed at the Regional Spelling Bee competition sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, according to information from the school.
Isaiah placed fourth and Nina placed second. Nina’s second place finish means she will continue to the next round, which is the state competition in Ames on March 5.
“Please congratulate them both on their great accomplishment and wish Nina luck as she competes at the state competition,” read the WBMS information.
