Pretrial set for Kelley by Gregory R. Norfleet · News · March 23, 2017
A Cedar County judge set a pretrial conference for Michael Thomas Kelley, accused of attempted murder, for 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 5.
Kelley, 40, of West Branch, was originally charged with domestic assault of a 35-year-old woman found in his bedroom in the 600 block of West Orange Street. The charges were amended in January to include attempted murder.
Judge Stuart Werling on March 3 set the hearing. The defense has waived a speedy trial.
If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
He is being held at Cedar County Jail on $100,000 bond.
