Colleges recognize area students

Colleges and universities recognized students from the West Branch region in a variety of areas.
• Iowa State University recognized four students for earning a spot on the dean’s list, which requires a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Those recognized include Julia Re Diemer of West Branch, a junior majoring in English; Bradley Daniel Arp of West Liberty, a junior in management; Hailey Nicole Daufeldt of West Liberty, a sophomore in agronomy; and Katie Ann Meyers of West Liberty, a senior in family and consumer science education and studies.
• Cornell College placed Brock Cecil of West Branch to its dean’s list for the spring semester.
• Claire Bridges of West Branch, an incoming first-year student in the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences, participated in orientation on the Ames campus June 11-12. Bridges is majoring in kinesiology and health.
