West Branch Community Development Group sent its community ambassadors July 11 to Cedars Edge Golf Course to welcome the company back to the city with flowers and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Cedars Edge leased the business last summer from the owners of what had been known for years as Fox Run Golf and Country Club.

This year, Jerry and Tammy Sexton purchased the golf course outright and reopened it under the Cedars Edge name again.

Several joined in for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting near Hole No. 1: Community State Bank’s Ed Larew, Cornerstone Real Estate owner Teresa Horton, Tammy and Jerry Sexton, and Cedars Edge staffer Mike Quinlan; Cornerstone agent Helen Fawcett, U.S. Bank’s Tessa Wade, WBCDG Director Kevin Rogers, WBCDG President and U.S. Bank’s Mark Vanlandschoot, and Staker Chiropractic’s Shane Staker.
