Catalpa Corner announces trial winners

The 2017 Catalpa Corner Charity Horse Trials were held in rural West Branch August 5 and 6. The weather was good, and the forecasted rain for the show jumping Aug. 6 held off. Results for individuals follows.
In the Open Preliminary category, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Jahnkke was first riding her horse Lanzz. Erin Dierks was second on her horse Mimic. Shelly Remensnyder was third riding her horse Platinum Rhapsody. In fourth place was Grace Paters on her horse Whynot Glen.
In the Open Training category, Bernard Morsuw, riding his horse Mephisto des Claires, placed first. In second place was Di Stebbins on Royale aCad. Julie Wolfert, riding her horses Mixxen in Action, was third. In fourth place was Meaghan Marinovich on Subtle Punch, belonging to Paul Barr.
In the Training Rider- Junior category, Caitlyn Ruud won riding Chantil Ruud’s horse Up to You De Lorage. In second place was Riley Kemna on her horse CNT Shiloh Tails. Madeline Batchelor was third riding her horse Stormn Blitz Kd. Lauren Jensen was fourth on Amy Jensen’s horse Pilot’s Pearl.
In the Training Rider - Senior category, Tedd Goth, riding Melissa Schielein’s horse Born to Boogie, placed first. Melissa Otten on her horse Uptown Girl, was second. Mckenna Oxenden on her horse Gossop Girl, was third. In fourth place was Rachel Shelangoski on her horse AHH AHH Chew placed fourth.
In the Novice Horse category, Cynthia Wiseman on her horse Varsity Blues placed first. In second place was Erika Chermak on her horse Dandelion. Brigitte Kettell was third riding her horse Jax. Leslie Greer, riding Ann White’s horse Appy Hour, was fourth.
In the Novice Rider - Junior category, Aidan McCann, riding Carolyn McCann’s horse Biggies Little Jethro, was first. Alexandra Marsh, riding Marcia Ford’s horse Bentley, was second. Lawson Tunnell, riding Carla Burgess’s horse Irise Pub, was third. In fourth place was Nicole Carlone riding her horse Too Big For Your Britches.
In the Novice Rider - Senior Section A category, Haley Madden, riding Ingrid Krause’s horse Ballerina Ik, was first. Christina Kelly riding her horse Vindictive Villain was second. In third place was Rebecca Hunt riding her horse Snowflake Lane. Patricia Wheaton was fourth riding her horse Rj.
In the Novice Rider - Senior Section B category, Heather Chandler, riding her horse Velvet Rose, was first. Paula Frasz, rising her horse Let’s Roll, was second. Chatil Ruud, riding her horse Landmark’s Ginger Rogers, was third. Sydney Goeden, riding her horse Anske Vrijdom, was fourth.
In the Open Novice category, Liana Haule, riding her horse Bowie, was first. Jana Lyle, riding her horse Heavenly SCF, was second. Caitlyn Clair, riding her horse Super Tuff Senator, was third. Samantha Hayes, riding Catherine Hayes’ horse El Mariachi, was fourth.
In the Beginner Novice category, Bridget Moore, riding her horse Brutus, was first. Nicole Colombari, riding her horse Bold Approval, was second. Third was Jessica Reoch riding her horse Southern Comfort. Caitlyn Ruud on Chatil Ruud’s horse Top Gun Tess, was fourth.
In the Beginner Novice Rider - Junior category, Kendra Heath-Brost, riding her horse Irish Dance, was first. Second was Sydney Burlage on Taylor Oxley’s horse Freckles Greer. Ali Nix, riding Katarzyna Jachymczyk’s horse Bentley, was third. In fourth was Paige Borylo riding her horse Talisker.
In the Beginner Novice Rider - Senior category, Cathrine Wunderlich was first riding her horse Banjamin James. Emily Nash, riding her horse Wildwood, was second. Samantha Colvin, riding her horse Suspended Moon, was third. Anne Branscum, riding her horse, My Secretary, was fourth.
In the Open Beginner Novice category, Heather Lindroth, riding her horse Cuvee D’Amour, was first. In second place riding her horse Zoom Zoom, was Lou Ann Wulf. Meaghan Marinovich was third riding her horse Ferris Bueller. In fourth place was Nicolette Adams riding Saul Good.
Team results
Preliminary Level Team competition: first place Grace Peters on Whynot Glen, Jes Skudlarek on Lil’BitOfEverything, Alie Kleinmann on Jos Fermin, and Emily Shirley on Never Been Better. The Three Amigas received a place of “E.” team members were Shelly Remensnyder on Platinum Rhapsody, Jennifer Selvig on Chief Magistrate, and Amy Nelson on First Commander.
In the Training Level Team competition, Rock On with Your Bad Self was first. Team members were Di Stebbins on Royale Cad, Julie Wolfert on Mizzen in Action, Meaghan Marinovich on Flying Colors, and Carolyn McCann on Peekaboo Street. In second place was the team of Samantha Fogg on Nacona, Elle Choate on Paddrick, and Elllie Howland on Kilkenny Mile. The Marvelous Muggles was third. Team members were Mckenna Oxeden on Gossip Girl, Stephanie Caston on London ROF, Tanny Seaborn on Cocktail Hour, and Amy Nelson on Hummingbird’s River. In fourth place was Tavy Thomas on The Manager, Shelby Vanhhoosier on Stitch This Mister, and Brad Hall on MIA.
In the Novice Level Team competition, Suck It Up, Buttercup was first. Team members were Cynthia Wiseman on Varsity BLues, Becca Hunt on Snowflake Lane, Jana Lyla on Heavenly SCF, and Melissa Schielein on Lothario. Unstabled was second. Team members were Paula Frasz on Let’s Roll, Liana Haule on Bowie, Ruth Ann Kowalski on Mr. Max, and Tina Schiffmayer on Remington. Third was Bellatricea. Team members were Heather Chandler on Velvet Rose, Jutta Lipsky on Seattle Battle, and Ellie Bates on Jack N’ The Box. Impulsion was in fourth place. Team members were Christina Kelly on Vindictive Villain, Leslie Lowry on Pursuit of Happiness, Lorna Fogg on Scotland Yard, and Talahenia Shier on Soul Sister.
In the BNovice Level Team competition, Young at Heart was first. Team members were Blaine Hendrickson on Jane’s Addiction, Barbara Pickl on Curella De Vil, Nancy Fronczak on Sleeps on My Pillow, and Lynette Scott on Western Zen. Laura Del Ponte on Tonka, Lillian Cederlund on Mon Ami, and Catherine Kee on Asante were second. Brewed a Bit Hoppy was third. Team members were Catherine Wunderlich on Benjamin James, Leah Lang-Gluscic on Mightylee, Camie Stockhausen on Bravado Cat, and Martha Wick on Spring Fling. Meaghan Mariovich on Ferris Bueller, Meegan Ritchie Dvm on Tequila Tiempo, and Julie Wolfert on Finnigan were fourth.
