“Restaurants in Main Street Iowa communities provide a broad variety of unique flavors in mom-and-pop cafes and white-tableclothed eateries,” said Jim Engle, director of the Iowa Downtown Resource Center. “These restaurants, bars and bistros provide a key ingredient to the thriving social, business and residential life in the historic commercial districts in Main Street Iowa communities.”

“We’re so excited to be a part of Main Street Iowa’s Restaurant Week promotion with @Travel Iowa. Our West Branch participating restaurants are ready to roll out the red carpet - this is a fantastic opportunity to explore restaurants in our own backyard and across the state,” said Kevin Rogers, Executive Director of the West Branch Community Development Group.

“People crave authentic experiences, especially food, when they travel. They want to eat where the locals do,” said Shawna Lode, manager of the Iowa Tourism Office. “Main Street Iowa Restaurant Week provides a great opportunity for Iowans to explore locally owned restaurants in charming communities across the state.”
