Food drive for children, pantries

A food drive collection for the West Branch Middle School and High School Food Pantries will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at the North Dodge Street Hy-Vee.
These pantries currently serve 24 students. Recommended food items include: individual servings of macaroni and cheese; pasta, like spaghetti; oatmeal; juice boxes; pudding; applesauce; fruit cups; granola bars; peanut butter crackers; ramen noodles; and personal hygiene items like shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream and feminine hygiene products.
