JV takes 1st at Dubuque Super Meet

Three City High/West Branch cross country teams ran Oct. 5 in the Mississippi Valley Super Meet at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.
The varsity team placed ninth, the junior varsity team won, and the fresh/soph team placed fifth.
Scoring for the varsity team were Caden Turnbough in 21st place with a time of 16:35; Max Quenton in 25th place with a time of 16:40, Jonathan Brown in 37th place in 17:02; James Mombert in 49th place in 17:12; and JP Rethwisch in 51st place in 17:21.
Two West Branch runners ran the JV race. Senior Will Martin finished the race in 19:22 for 85th place, and junior Keegan Sotelo finished in 111th place in 20:03.
Two West Branch sophomores ran in the MVC Super Meet fresh/soph race. Barrett Walsh finished the race in 19:55 for 107th place. Jonathon Wargo finshed in 20:03 for 192nd place.
