West Branch eight-graders went 5-1 in recent action.
“The 8th graders had a good week against Tipton, West Liberty, and Regina,” Coach Rich Stout said. ““We want to keep working hard and improve each week.”
The A team beat Tipton 32-12.
Scoring: Laikyn Worrell 13 points, Lexi Klinkkammer 4, Delaynie Luneckas 15.
The team made 2-11 free-throws, had 26 rebounds, 6 blocks, 21 steals, seven assists and 18 turnovers.
In the B game, West Branch won 24-4.
Scoring: Annie Bower 6, Grace Mundell 2, Madison Hovancik 10, Addie Wehde 4, Hilda Hernandez 2
The team shot 4-16 free throws, had 27 steals, 4 assists and 4 turnovers.
Against West Liberty, the Bears fell 35-23.
Scoring: Lexi Klinkkammer 11, Delaynie Luneckas 10, Annie Bower 2
The team shot 5-17 free throws, had 14 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals, 3 assists and 16 turnovers.
In the B game, the two teams tied at 14.

The team shot 2-7 free throws and had 14 rebounds, 9 steals, 2 assists and 9 turnovers.
West Branch’s A team played Regina and won 32-17.
