Letter: Give more value to Christ this Christmas

As Christmas approaches, let us give more value to the message that Christ gave us, than to the “birthday party.”
Caring for the neighbor, both personally and as various groups, seeking peace and justice, rather than retaliation and punishment, and not storing up treasure for ourselves in this life.
We can offer better health care for all, at less cost than our current system. We can choose, as voters in a democratic republic to “uncapitalize” this “industry” and still be a democratic republic, just a better one with a healthy strong workforce.
Let us follow Christ, not political ideology.
