7th boys win four, lose two

West Branch Middle School’s seventh-grade boys basketball team won four and lost two games in recent action.


On Feb. 15, the A team beat Regina 43-30.

Scoring: Zach Walker 2, Andy Henson 14, Wes Neuberger 6, Carver Boelk 15, Kinnick Boelk 6.

The team shot 3-7 from the free-throw line and had 18 rebounds, 11 assists, 9 steals, 2 blocked shots and 15 turnovers.

In the B game, the Bears fell by a single point to Regina, 19-18.

Scoring: Oliver Palmer 10, Jaxson Kaalberg 2, Kyle Harold 4, Lu Guetzko 2

The team shot 0-6 from free-throw range and two for five from three-point range and had 21 rebounds, 2 assists, 9 steals and 13 turnovers.

On Feb. 8, the A team beat the Tipton Tigers 39-22.

Scoring: Oliver Palmer 2, Zach Walker 6, Andy Henson 8, Wes Neuberger 2, Carver Boelk 14, Kinnick Boelk 5, Will Bridges 2.

The team shot 1-3 from the free-throw line and had 16 rebounds, 8 assists, 15 steals, 4 blocked shots and 21 turnovers.

In the B game, West Branch fell to the Tigers 21-10.

Scoring: Kyle Harold 2, Wyatt Fiderlein 4, Will Briges 2, Adrian Zamudio 2.

The team shot 0-2 from the free-throw line and had 18 rebounds, an assist, 6 steals and 20 turnovers.

On Feb. 13, the A team beat West Liberty’s Comets 38-20.

Scoring: Oliver Palmer 2, Zach Walker 15, Andy Henson 8, Wes Neuberger 4, Carver Boelk 7, Will Bridges 2.

The team shot 3-15 from the free-throw line and had 9 rebounds, 9 assists, 10 steals, 3 blocked shots and 10 turnovers.

In the B game, the Bears defeated West Liberty 23-20.
