8th football beats Tipton, 16-6

West Branch Middle School’s eighth-grade football team defeated Tipton, 16-6, on Sept. 10.
The win gives the Bears a 1-1 record.

Tipton got on the board first, but West Branch responded and held the Tigers out of the end zone for the rest of the game.

Brooks Seydel scored first for the Bears on an eight-yard run, then followed up with a two-point conversion run.

Up 8-6, the Bears saw quarterback Pete Koenig find Michael Miles for a five-yard pass to score. Koenig then threw to Seydel for the two-point conversion and a final score of 16-6.
