Letter: Divisive speech will end with Phil Wiese Op-Ed · October 23, 2024
We are facing an important choice Nov. 5th.
We can change the rhetoric in Des Moines and unite all Iowans in our district, or we can continue the divisive language we’ve suffered for the last 12 years.
We can elect someone who says the same thing to everyone or keep electing someone who changes his story from person to person and week to week.
Phil Wiese stands up for himself so I know, when elected, he will stand up for all of us. He has more integrity in his little finger than most people I’ve known.
I trust him to fight for getting our public dollars back into our public schools and to give women control over their most personal healthcare decisions.
It’s a shame we have to fight to restore such basic public services and human rights, but after 12 years of Bobby Kaufmann, that’s where we are.
Please vote to end the time of anger and fear, blaming and shaming and get back to remembering the many things we have in common as Americans.
