Letter: Candidates not perfect, but Harris best pick Op-Ed · October 23, 2024
There’s a saying in my work “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.”
It’s a helpful tool to get out of the weeds and actually solve a problem and I think it’s the message undecided voters need to hear this year.
Whether you’re on the left or the right, you may not have your perfect candidate to vote for. But, we cannot let perfect be the enemy of good.
If you are truly undecided or considering not voting this year, I urge you to look at the candidates.
One lacks any concrete plans or policy positions, is preoccupied with fringe issues rather than substance, is a convicted criminal, and continues to jeopardize our democracy by refusing to accept the results of a free and fair election.
The other has laid out specific plans for lowering taxes for the middle class, protecting healthcare for all Americans, and addressing the lack of resources at our southern border.
No candidate is perfect, but in this election Kamala Harris is absolutely the good choice.
