8th boys defeat West Liberty

West Branch Middle School’s eighth-grade boys basketball team won both games against West Liberty on Monday night.
In the A game, the Bears won 37-23.
Scoring: Kael Sexton 8, Brooks Seydel 10, Ty Staker 2, Peter Koenig 15, Garrison Gross 2.
The team shot 0 for 1 from the free-throw line and had 18 rebounds, 13 assists, 14 steals, 2 blocked shots, and 9 turnovers.
The A team improved to 2-4 on the season.
In the B game, West Branch won 30-11.
Scoring: Korbin Poe 2, Ty Staker 4, Aiden Bodenstadt 8, Brayden Benskin 2, Charlie Krall 2, Landon Shimon 2, Daiveon Kriegel 10.
The team had 31 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 1 blocked shot and 5 turnovers. The B team improved their record to 3-2.
