Bears, Mid-Prairie game ends in tie

West Branch Middle School’s eighth-grade boys basketball team tied in one game and lost in a second on Feb. 25 against Mid-Prairie’s Golden Hawks.
In the A game, the Bears lost 40-21.
Scoring: Kael Sexton 2, Brooks Seydel 8, Peter Koenig 9, Garrison Gross 2.
The team shot 2 for 3 from the free-throw line and had 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 11 steals, 1 blocked shot, and 24 turnovers.
They now have a 3-7 record.
In the B game, West Branch tied the Golden Hawks, 34-34.
Scoring: Korbin Poe 6, Ty Staker 4, Carter Thompson 4, Brayden Benskin 2, Charlie Krall 6, Landon Shimon 2, Owen Erger 2, Daiveon Kriegel 8.
The team shot 0 for 1 at the free-throw line and had 28 rebounds, 12 assists, 12 steals, and 5 turnovers.
The tie game gives the team a 4-2-1 record.
