7th-grade basketball team finishes with undefeated season

West Branch High School’s seventh-grade boys’ basketball A team went undefeated this season and earned the River Valley Conference title.
Coached by Taylor Larson and Jacob Coates, the A team earned the championship on Feb. 27 by defeating West Liberty, 70-5.
The B team almost matched that record, going 10-1, also earning the RVC Championship honor.
It closed out the season with a 29-6 win over the Comets that same night.
“They are a fun group of young men who are very motivated to be great” Larson said.
Players include Jasper Alvarez, Teddy Bucknell, Easton Coates, Rowen Day, Rex Druecker, Evan Farmer, Cameron Hansel, Liam Hosier, Liam Kaalberg, Anakin Kofoed, Jack Miles, Rilan Miller, Griffen Nestor, Thomas Pedersen, Casen Regennitter, Ryker Rood, Clayton Shultz, Zane Wachs, Kooper Zuniga, and DaVon Yocum.
