We bid farewell to Judith Anne Michener of Red Oak, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 15, 2025, at the age of 84.
Judith Anne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts.
Jude was born in Davenport, Iowa, on Oct. 20, 1940. She grew up in the Tipton, West Branch area and graduated from West Branch High School with the class of 1958. She attended classes with her later husband, Bill Michener.
Leaving Iowa with her family, she moved to Bentonville, Ark. After becoming widowed, she got reacquainted and moved to Red Oak, Texas, where she and Bill were married. They spent 15 years making memories, traveling and visiting with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Bowman and Blanche Bowman; sons, Robert “Shorty” Baer and Ronald Baer; former husband Robert Baer; and grandson Robby Baer.
She is survived by: her husband Bill; children Richard Baer, Ria Michener and RaeLee Parrish; daughter Reneé; and siblings MaryLou Brendel (Bruce Hoaglin), Pat Bickford (Norman), Howe Bowman (Janie) and Herb Bowman (Linda). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, in addition to great-great-nieces.
Jude will be laid to rest May 10, 2025, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine, Iowa, surrounded by family and friends.
Following the brief gravesite gathering, all friends and family are invited to a luncheon at West Branch Town Hall.
