Bears fall to Regals in two games

West Branch Middle School’s eighth-grade boys’ basketball team faced off against Regina on Jan. 23, losing twice to the Regals.
In the A game, West Branch lost, 49-24.
Scoring: Kael Sexton 4, Brooks Seydel 6, Peter Koenig 10, Kincade Rios 4.
The team sank 4 for 7 from the free-throw line and had 21 rebounds, 5 assists, 12 steals, 2 blocked shots and 17 turnovers.
The A team is still looking for its first win after two games.
In the B game, the Bears got a lot closer, falling just 35-30.
Scoring: Korbin Poe 6, Ty Staker 12, Carter Thompson 4, Brayden Benskin 4, Daiveon Kriegel 4.
The team shot 0 for 6 from the free-throw line and had 21 rebounds, 5 assists, 12 steals, and 14 turnovers.
The B team also continues to search for its first win.
