Letter: Johnson’s interests align most with my family
Op-Ed · October 31, 2014

In the upcoming Nov. 4th election I am voting for David Johnson because David and his family’s interests and concerns are more like mine, my family, friends, neighbors, residents of our community, and local businesses that provide us our goods and services.

We are people that know each other, care about each other and have far different interests than those of huge corporations and world conglomerates that are controlled by the likes of the Koch brothers that have no allegiance or loyalty to the people of any community or land.

Through political favoritism such economic powers are hoarding the nation’s and world’s wealth through rake-and-take of money drawn off of what we consuming people must spend in the marketplace to buy our food, clothing, shelter and afford ourselves enough rest, and a bit of leisure and entertainment to keep going and to find it worthwhile to do so.

David Johnson lives and raises his family among us is one of us. Let us all joint together and vote local, buy local and have some fun local — it is good for our health, happiness and community. Go Bears, go Hawkeyes, and go vote Johnson.
