Letter: Kaufmann deserves a second term as rep

I am a registered Democrat enrolled at the University of Iowa. I plan to become a teacher and educator. Children’s futures are very important to me and I know how important they are to Bobby Kaufmann, too.
We need leaders like him in government to continue his fight for education and making children’s futures brighter.
I watched the Johnson County LWV debate between Representative Bobby Kaufmann and his opponent David Johnson. Bobby is poised, specific, and non-partisan. I would suggest you all watch this one-hour debate. He has a great record of working with both Democrats and Republicans to make Iowa the great place it is to live. He fights for his constituents and knows what we want.
I truly appreciate the way Bobby Kaufmann listens. He cares what you think and does not come to a conversation already thinking he has all the answers. When he does have suggestions, they are not partisan talking points simply blaming the other party. He is willing to work with anyone on any issue he and his constituents believe in.
I agree with the Iowa City Press-Citizen and Cedar Rapids Gazette. Representative Bobby Kaufmann deserves a second term. The future of Iowa and the children of Iowa deserve to have a great leader like Bobby Kaufmann fighting for them.
