Gary Reed Turnbull, 61, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Kavanagh House of Des Moines. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Gary was born on April 9, 1954, to John E. and Mary J. Turnbull. He was a 1972 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. Gary worked in Des Moines and then moved to California where he worked part of the time for the Santa Anita Race Track. Gary then returned to Des Moines where he worked as a technical service specialist for Wells Fargo for the past 15 years.
Gary loved animals, especially cats. He also enjoyed the outdoors. Gary was a frequent visitor to Paris where he enjoyed museums and going to Longchamp!
Gary is survived by his parents, John E.(Buck) and Mary J. Turnbull of Des Moines; two brothers, Rick of Minneapolis and Curt (Leslie) of Las Vegas; three nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or to American Cancer Society Iowa.
