Hoovers welcome Toula Lou

John Avlon and Margaret Hoover announced the birth of daughter Toula Lou Hoover Avlon.
Toula Lou was born Oct. 27, 2015, at 8:36 to a Beatles playlist (somewhere between “I Want to Tell You” and “Hey Jude”), weighing in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 19.25 inches tip-to-tail. Toula’s hobbies currently include sleeping, eating and peering into the adoring faces of her parents.
She’s named after John’s grandmother (who will turn 100 this December) and Margaret’s great-grandmother and aunt (both Lou Henry Hoover).
Older brother Jack has been singing “Happy Birthday, Baby Toula” and is looking forward to her homecoming and indulging in more birthday cake. The fact that she shares a birthday with Teddy Roosevelt is only slightly more than a happy coincidence.
Margaret, great-granddaughter of 31st President Herbert Hoover, is recovering smoothly and we’re overjoyed with the newest addition to our family.
We feel blessed, deeply appreciative, and can’t wait for you all to meet Toula Lou!
