Palestine talk Saturday at Hoover House

Pat Minor will give a presentation about her recent trip to Palestine with the Congressional Accompaniment Project (CAP). The event will be held at the Hoover House in downtown West Branch at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 23.


Titled “Palestine 101: Obstacles to Peace,” Minor’s presentation will explain what she believes to be some of the obstacles to peace between Israel and Palestine. She will share pictures of her trip and sell Palestinian products that she purchased for resale specifically to aid Palestinians who make crafts in their homes. There will also be olive oil which is being distributed in this area by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) out of Des Moines.
