Donna Belle (Tisinger) Wilkerson, 94, of West Branch, Iowa, entered eternity on Saturday, March 16, 2024, while under the care of the Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. with a visitation with family and friends on Friday, March 22 from 5 to 7 p.m., both being held at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton.
Private family burial will take place at a later date in the Pee Dee Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established.
Donna was born on Dec. 29, 1929, in Cedar County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clifford Albert and Helen Frances (Mohr) Tisinger.
Donna graduated from Tipton High School in 1947 and on Aug. 1, 1948, Donna was united in marriage to Marvin Wendell Wilkerson in Tipton.
Donna worked for Mercy Hospital in labor and delivery and then started a new career with the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician until her retirement in the early 90’s.
Donna loved to cook, sew, play cards and garden.
Donna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Joseph Duster of North Liberty, Iowa; sons Dean and wife Pam Wilkerson of West Branch, and Jim and wife Deborah Wilkerson of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Debra (Ivan), Michael (Angela), Jacqueline (Lucas), Quentin (Stephanie) and Austin (Teresa); many great-grandchildren; siblings Eugene Tisinger, Janet Kleckner, Allen (Connie) Tisinger and Paul (Alma) Tisinger; and sisters-in-law Joan Tisinger and Cecelia Tisinger.
Donna was preceded in death by husband Marvin on Dec. 15, 2010; brothers Wayne Tisinger and Lee Tisinger; and sister Patricia Kleckner.
