Main Street Matters: Sweets for Success fundraiser set for Friday
by Jessi Simon, MSWB Executive Director · Op-Ed · April 03, 2024

This weekend is the community’s largest fundraising event of the year, Sweets for Success.
The dessert auction and social event to benefit Main Street West Branch will take place once again at Little Lights on the Lane on Friday, April 5, at 6 p.m.

Nearly 200 people reserved tables to attend the event and enjoy the catered dinner, socialization and live entertainment.

If you didn’t reserve a table or are unable to attend in person you can still participate, support our mission AND snag some incredible desserts in the ONLINE portion of the dessert auction!

The online silent auction will be open for bidding this Friday, April 5th, from 4-9 p.m. at 32auctions.com/sweets24.

Simply visit the website on your smartphone, tablet or computer to view and bid on desserts.

It only takes 1 minute to create an account. If you “win” you will be notified via email on Friday night and can pick-up your dessert(s) on Saturday morning from 9-11 am at the Rummells Center or (NEW THIS YEAR) we are also offering LOCAL DELIVERY to West Branch residents.

Winners may choose to pay online using PayPal or pay with Venmo, Cash or check at pick-up.

Over 100 desserts will be featured in this year’s Sweets for Success dessert auction, half in the live auction and half online in the silent auction.

All dessert items have been donated by volunteer bakers and will include a wide variety of sweets from classic cookies to extravagant cakes, homemade pies to fresh pastries, and everything in between!

All money raised is used to support the operational budget of Main Street West Branch, a local 501c3 non-profit and volunteer-run organization.

Our vision is that West Branch will thrive with an eclectic mix of old and new as a desirable visitor’s destination and a place of hometown pride that shows in the vibrant downtown & unique offerings.

Our mission is to improve the social and economic well being of our community and historic downtown by preserving and sharing our history and unique identity; attracting and supporting small businesses; and engaging and connecting the community.
